My mission is to help as many people as possible to rediscover their own strength.
No matter your age, sex, life stage, I can guide you to a better understanding of your body. I can help you to build your strength and confidence so that you can lead a healthier life.
Kinder Pilates
Rachel Kinder
I am Rachel. My maiden name is Kinder but also incorporating regular Pilates into your life really is being ‘kinder’ to yourself.
I have been trained for over 15 years in mat and reformer Pilates starting my journey in Sydney and then moving to London where I trained with Stott and Body Control Pilates. I am fully qualified to teach pre and postnatal Pilates as well as Pilates for Menopause.
With every Client I want to help guide them to build their strength and to build confidence in their own body and what it is capable of. Regular Pilates will help to repair injuries and postural misalignments and with these fixes your body will be protected for the future.

Rediscover your strength
Philosophy
I believe that everyone can be strong. Whether you are slowly building up your strength after having a baby or injury or teaching your body how strong it can be having not exercised much in the past.
I believe in educating people about how their own body functions and how it can be protected long into the future.
Continuous Improvement
This is true for both me and my Clients. I attend regular training courses to stay on top of what's new in the world of Pilates and movement.
I want my Clients to feel like they are always improving and learning something new each week so that they continue to reap the rewards of their Pilates practice.
Varied programme
My classes are different each time as I introduce variations and extensions to each exercise. I won’t let you cruise through a class! I want everyone to feel like they are being challenged but in a safe way.
I like to keep the lessons fresh and challenge my clients to try new things, a new prop, because that is how you improve.
Knowledge
My training courses required an in-depth understanding of anatomy as well as the practical skills of Pilates. It is this passion for the human body and making it work at its best that sets me and my teaching apart.
I want each of my Clients to get to know their body better with every class so that they can get stronger and more confident in themselves.
Tailored practice
This is why 1:1 Pilates is so beneficial but also within a group class I can modify exercises to suit particular needs.
I never have more than 15 people in a class and I walk around correcting people’s positions to ensure they get the most out of every class. After class, I’m available to give Clients advice and exercises to practice at home.
Community
I have built a loyal and friendly group of Clients here in Berkshire over the past 4 years and you can sense that in every class.
I feel privileged to be part of a great community of friendly people who are welcoming and supportive. I even throw an annual summer ‘Thank you’ party!
